The National Science Foundation (NSF) is seeking proposals for the National Quantum Virtual Laboratory (NQVL) program, which aims to facilitate the translation of quantum technologies from basic science and engineering to practical applications. The program will support use-inspired and translational research in Quantum Information Science and Engineering (QISE), with a focus on developing and utilizing quantum technologies. The NQVL will explore quantum frontiers, foster QISE education and workforce development, engage in outreach activities, and promote input and participation from diverse talent in QISE. Proposals are solicited for Design- and Implementation-phase Quantum Science and Technology Demonstration (QSTD) projects. • The QSTD:Design project builds on progress made in the QSTD:Pilot phase. • The QSTD:Implementation project builds on progress made in the QSTD:Design phase. • Proposals may only be submitted by organizations that have completed the QSTD:Pilot or QSTD:Design phase. • The selection of a Lead Organization and approval by the NSF are required to advance to the next phase. • Partnerships with industry and other U.S. Federal agencies are encouraged.
