The Town of North Hempstead is seeking qualified contractors to bid on tree pruning and removal services. The contract will be for two years with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms. The contractor will be required to provide skilled, experienced, and prompt service to conduct tree pruning, removal, and other related services at various town properties on an as-needed basis. The contractor must respond to emergency service requests within three hours and other projects within the timeframe specified by the ordering department. The town reserves the right to reject bids that include minimums. The contractor must employ at least one employee who holds an ISA certification and ensure that the certification is maintained throughout the contract period. • The contractor must provide all-inclusive pricing for labor, equipment, and disposal. • The contractor must notify the requesting department within 24 hours of completion of work to inspect the work and for the work ticket to be signed. • The contractor must bring equipment suitable to meet the demands of the job. • The contractor must comply with the most current published ANSI A300 standards for pruning and tree support systems and ANSI Z133.1 standards for safe arboricultural operations. • The contractor must provide a copy of ISA certification with the bid. • The contractor must ensure that all work is performed or supervised by an ISA Certified Arborist or equal certification.
