The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) is seeking capability statements from interested parties for Construction Quality Assurance (QA) and Coordination services for construction work performed at the GSFC facilities in Greenbelt, Maryland, and Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, Virginia. The QA services required under this contract include quality assurance, inspection, documentation, document control, coordination of construction with Center operations and construction contractors, review of design drawings, specifications, shop submittals associated with the work, and safety monitoring. The types of projects include site work, new building construction, alterations, renovation, and repair of buildings. The QA Contractor shall provide a traditional QA approach to the CQC program and function as an independent inspector of the construction Contractor’s work on a limited basis. • The QA Contractor shall monitor activities of construction Contractors for compliance with NASA and OSHA safety standards. • The QA Contractor shall inspect the construction work to confirm compliance with the contract plans and specifications. • The QA Contractor shall attend all project meetings requested by the PM. • The QA Contractor shall provide project close-out support to the PMs. • The QA Contractor shall set up and witness the ORR and system commissioning of building systems installed by the construction Contractor.
