Description:
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Science Mission Directorate (SMD) has released its annual omnibus Research Announcement (NRA), Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) – 2024. This program element, F.20 Mentorship and Opportunities in STEM with Academic Institutions for Community Success (MOSAICS) Seed Funding, is one of the individual program elements within ROSES. The goal of this program is to provide seed funding for mentorship and opportunities in STEM with academic institutions for community success. • Proposals may be submitted at any time, pending certain eligibility timing issues related to resubmissions and duplicate proposal avoidance. • The typical period of performance for an award is three years, but some programs may allow up to five years and others specify shorter periods. • Organizations of every type, Government and private, for profit and not-for-profit, domestic and foreign (with some caveats), may submit proposals without restriction on teaming arrangements. • Awards will be made as grants, cooperative agreements, contracts, and inter- or intra-agency transfers, depending on the nature of the work proposed, the proposing organization, and/or program requirements.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$50,000 – $200,000

The budget amount for this grant is not specified in the document. However, based on the fact that it is a seed funding program, the award amount is likely to be relatively small, possibly in the range of $50,000 to $200,000. The actual budget amount will depend on the specific proposal and the availability of funds.
