Description:
The U.S. Embassy in Guatemala is seeking to procure an IBIS ClearCase Automated Cartridge Case Triage System for the Ballistics Laboratory of the National Institute of Forensic Sciences of Guatemala. The system should include automated triage of ballistic evidence, high-resolution 3D imaging, non-contact evidence handling, and cloud-based data management. The contractor will be responsible for providing the equipment, installation, training, and maintenance. The contract will be for a base year with four option years. Key features of the system include: • Automated loading and starting workflow • Capacity for 20 simultaneous samples • Continuous acquisition mode • Rotating carousel for high-volume intake of samples • Acquisition time per sample: <60 seconds • High-resolution 3D imagining • Clustering algorithms • Gauge determination algorithms • Top sensor for gauge determination • OCR reader for gauge determination The contractor will also provide on-site training in Spanish for 40 INACIF Ballistics Laboratory experts, divided into two groups of 20. The training will cover system operation, software management, fault detection, and common malpractices.
