Description:
The US Air Force is conducting market research to identify potential sources for the remanufacture of Flight Data Transmitters (FDT) used in the Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) weapon system. The contractor will be responsible for remanufacturing 515 FDT units, with a minimum production rate of 94 units per year. The contractor must meet all original design requirements, OEM specifications, and nuclear hardness and certification requirements. Key responsibilities include remanufacturing, component replacement, testing and analysis, logistics and supply chain management, and delivery. * The FDT is a critical line replaceable unit (LRU) used in the ALCM weapon system. * The remanufacture effort is the follow-on production phase to the FDT Phase II remanufacture readiness program. * The contractor must have experience with the FDT TRU-191/A, P/N 50210-307, or LRUs with similar function and design. * The contractor must have technical knowledge of and experience with the hardware and software interface between the FDT and the AGM-86 ALCM, or a comparable weapon system. * The contractor must have experience executing remanufacture procedures for the LRUs contained in the AGM-86 ALCM weapon system, or other similar and relevant weapon systems.
