Description:
The Palm Beach County Purchasing Department is seeking pre-qualified vendors to provide moving services on a lump sum, term contract basis. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible respondent or bidder, unless a certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE) bid is within 10% of the lowest non-small business bid. The vendor will be responsible for providing moving services, including labor, equipment, and materials, for various County facilities. The vendor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and County policies, including those related to commercial non-discrimination, criminal history records checks, and public records. Some key requirements and responsibilities of the vendor include: • Providing moving services, including labor, equipment, and materials • Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and County policies • Maintaining a current Business Tax Receipt for Palm Beach County • Providing proof of insurance and meeting insurance requirements • Complying with the County's security systems and procedures • Ensuring that all work is performed by appropriately qualified and licensed personnel • Removing waste materials, tools, and equipment from the job site daily and thoroughly cleaning the job area prior to requesting a final inspection • Providing special moving carts and protection for sensitive items • Submitting a move plan for approval by the designated County representative • Being responsible for properly arranging and placing all items delivered to the new location • Touring the building being moved out of and the building being moved into with the designated County representative • Replacing or fixing any damages caused to the County or personal property • Having an employee attend the trailer at all times during the loading/unloading process • Arranging for a timely inspection of the completed project with the designated County representative
