The 2025-26 Title I, 1003 School Improvement Grant (Basic) is a funding opportunity for Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of their individual district and school continuous improvement plans. The grant is provided to support the implementation and monitoring of strategies identified in the 2025-26 District Comprehensive Improvement Plan (DCIP) and School Comprehensive Educational Plan(s) (SCEP), and for the planning and development of the 2026-27 district and school improvement plans. Key responsibilities of the grant include: • Establishing and maintaining district-level cohesive systems and structures that promote sustained school improvement • Providing schools with sufficient support to effectively implement their improvement plans Eligible applicants include Target Districts, while ineligible applicants include districts and schools identified for Local Support and Improvement (LSI), Charter Schools, and others. The application deadline is July 1, 2025, and the project funding dates are from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
