Description:
The City of Long Beach is soliciting proposals for as-needed litter and encampment abatement services in the public right of way. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing professional litter and encampment abatement services, including collecting, organizing, and removing trash and personal belongings, biohazardous and waste material, and other dumped or abandoned large items. The contractor must practice a culturally sensitive and humane approach to encampment abatement and must be properly trained in trauma-informed guiding principles. The contract will be for a period of two years with the option to renew for three additional one-year periods. • The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment and personnel to perform the services. • The contractor will be required to submit invoices on a weekly basis, including photo documentation of the site before and after service, staff hours worked, and purchase order number. • The contractor will be evaluated based on their organizational capacity and experience, method of approach, communications and reporting, and reasonableness of cost. • The City reserves the right to modify the contract terms and conditions at any time, with appropriate notice to the contractor.
