The Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART) is seeking bids for the provision of propane auto gas for its paratransit fleet. The contract will be for a period of one year, beginning June 1, 2025, and ending May 31, 2026. The successful bidder will be required to provide HD-5 grade propane that meets the requirements of ASTM D-1835 for an alternative automotive fuel application. The bidder must also provide technical specifications, material safety data sheets, and other relevant information with their bid submission. The contract pricing will be based on the Mont Belvieu, TX Propane Spot Price FOB, US$ per gallon on the day of delivery and a bid factor. The bid factor is to encompass all costs, including any eligible taxes, delivery, and any State or Federal surcharges. • The contract requires the provision of propane auto gas for a fleet of approximately 60 buses. • The total consumption is estimated at 350,000 gallons annually. • The quantity indicated is not a guaranteed maximum or minimum. • The bidder must include delivery response time for normal and emergency deliveries. • The bidder must have the ability to accommodate emergency deliveries at no additional cost to SMART. • The contract requires compliance with all Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations. • The bidder must provide evidence of satisfactory performance and integrity on past and current contracts. • The bidder must demonstrate the quality of its product to SMART and shall furnish sufficient technical data, test results, or other information that SMART shall require.
