Description:
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking qualified firms to provide Roadway Testing Technicians (RTT) and Laboratory Testing Technicians (LTT) for Construction Materials Sampling & Testing and Smoothness Technical Services Specialists (STSS) on projects in District 2, 4, and 5. The selected consultant will provide field and laboratory technicians that can obtain/possess required certifications to perform acceptance and verification sampling of construction materials. The scope of work includes performing roadway testing of construction materials on interstate and state route projects, providing Technical Service Specialists, and managing uncertain workload and staffing needs. • Provide field technicians that can obtain/possess required certifications to perform acceptance and verification sampling of construction materials • Perform roadway testing of construction materials on interstate and state route projects • Provide Technical Service Specialists that are considered subject matter experts in their area of assignment • Manage uncertain workload and staffing needs • Provide lab technicians that can obtain/possess required certifications to perform laboratory testing in accordance with GDT, AASHTO, and ASTM specifications
