Description:
The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking a contractor to provide elevator maintenance and repair services for three elevators at the Hungry Horse Dam and Powerplant in Montana. The contractor will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the elevators are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The contract will be for a base year with two option years, and the contractor will be required to provide a site-specific safety plan, job hazard analysis, and safety test reports. The contractor will also be required to coordinate with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to arrange for services, avoid schedule conflicts, and resolve questions and problems. • The contractor will perform Category 5 tests, Category 1 tests, and preventative maintenance services. • The contractor will inspect and lubricate machinery, sheaves, worm, gear, motor, brake, selector, and controller. • The contractor will replace burned-out lamps and check proper operation of door reopening device photo eye components. • The contractor will check proper operation of door tracks and sills, lamps and sensors in the car top controller, and machine room for any obvious problems. • The contractor will read event recorder in Penthouse/Machine Room and check operation of the Brake and adjust. • The contractor will lubricate pivot points, inspect governor operation and working parts, and clean and lubricate. • The contractor will check and adjust the car door operation, lubricate the hangers, rollers, gibs, linkages, and pivot points, and check and adjust door clearances.
