The City of Pacifica is seeking a consultant to provide on-call vegetation and wetlands management services for the Calera Creek 16-acre wetlands adjacent to the Calera Creek Water Recycling Plant. The consultant will be required to develop a management plan, perform wetlands maintenance, and provide vegetation control. The scope of work will vary and will be requested on a task order basis as the need arises. The consultant must have experience in wetland weed management, native and non-native species, and federal and state listed endangered and threatened species. The consultant must also possess a C-27 Landscape Contractor license, Pest Control Business License, Certified Applicator Licenses, and a current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations. Key points to consider: • The consultant will be required to develop a habitat management plan for the depressional wetlands. • The consultant will be required to perform wetlands maintenance, including herbicide treatment of invasive non-native plants, hand removal of invasive species, and habitat restoration. • The consultant will be required to provide vegetation control, including mowing, trimming, and maintenance of desired pond water levels. • The consultant must have experience working with public agencies and have a record of completing work on schedule. • The consultant must have a strong understanding of wetland flora and fauna, including federal and state listed endangered and threatened species.
