The City of Auburn Hills is seeking a qualified firm to provide a way-finding signage plan for the downtown area. The plan should define the types and designs of signs, where they should be used, and what kind of information they should include. The project has four distinct phases, including a tour of downtown, evaluation and recommendation, design concepts, and construction administration. The selected firm will work with the Wayfinding Subcommittee and staff to seek input on the project and provide detailed drawings that incorporate the city's brand. The goal of the project is to create a consistent signage and wayfinding system that improves navigation for all modes of travel. • The project includes designing gateways, parking, trails, businesses, parks, monuments/art, and signage for light poles and streets. • The selected firm will provide recommendations for defining phases and identifying potential fabricators. • The project should provide a consistent image for the community and improve navigation for visitors, residents, and employees. • The city's new branding will be provided and should be incorporated into the design. • The project should include a standards report that provides specific dimensions, material recommendations, and installation details. • The selected firm will be responsible for construction administration, including reviewing and approving shop drawings and installation.
