The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids for scale maintenance services at the Nimitz Commercial Vehicles Enforcement Facility (CVEF) Northbound and Platform Scales (PS) Southbound. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing scale maintenance services, including but not limited to, routine maintenance, repairs, and calibrations. The contractor must possess a valid Contractors State License Board (CSLB) – C-61 (Limited Specialty Classification) / D-21 (Machinery and Pumps Contractor) license and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). The contract term is anticipated to be effective from May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2029. • Key services include scale maintenance, repairs, and calibrations. • The contractor must have a valid CSLB license and be registered with the DIR. • The contract term is approximately 3 years. • The contractor must comply with prevailing wage rates and provide proof of liability insurance. • The contractor must attend a mandatory walk-through on March 12, 2026.
