The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is issuing a sole source notice for the procurement of GeoCue software and maintenance. The software is required for the National Geodetic Survey (NGS) to manage workflows, import large LIDAR data sets for visualization, editing, and analysis, and apply LIDAR strip and calibration error adjustments. GeoCue Group, Inc. is the only vendor that manufactures and distributes GeoCue software, and is uniquely qualified to provide this software to the NGS. • The software is proprietary and no other company has the source code to provide this product, licenses, or maintenance services. • GeoCue Group, Inc. is the sole provider of the GeoCue software. • The software is currently fully integrated into the NOS/NGS LIDAR processing workflow. • Not purchasing these licenses would cause NOAA to be unable to review the quality of the data to ensure its integrity and accuracy.
