Description:
The Region 19 Education Service Center – Allied States Cooperative (ASC) is seeking a vendor to provide produce to various school districts and entities in the El Paso area. The vendor will be responsible for delivering fresh produce, maintaining quality standards, and complying with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The contract will be for a minimum of one year, and the vendor will be required to provide pricing based on a fixed price. The scope of work includes providing produce to multiple school districts, including Anthony ISD, Canutillo ISD, Clint ISD, and others. The vendor will be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, fees, and licenses, and for verifying compliance with local authorities having jurisdiction prior to commencing work. Key requirements include: • Maintaining quality standards during the contract period • Providing produce that meets USDA and TDA Buy American Provisions • Having a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Program in place • Following appropriate handling and storage practices • Providing proof of established sanitation procedures and an active pest control program • Ensuring all products are prepared, handled, and stored in accordance with health and sanitation standards • Providing traceback capabilities for all products to the point of origin • Delivering produce in clean, well-maintained, refrigerated trucks • Ensuring all packaging and packing is in accordance with good commercial practice and labeling regulations
