Description:
The Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant program aims to improve roadway safety by reducing or eliminating roadway fatalities and serious injuries. The program provides funding for two main types of grants: Planning and Demonstration Grants and Implementation Grants. Planning and Demonstration Grants support the development of comprehensive safety action plans, supplemental safety planning, and demonstration activities. Implementation Grants fund the implementation of projects and strategies identified in an Action Plan. Eligible applicants include metropolitan planning organizations, political subdivisions of a State or territory, federally recognized Tribal governments, and multijurisdictional groups of entities.
