The City of Rancho Cordova is seeking a consultant to provide technical support for the implementation and processing of permits under the South Sacramento Habitat Conservation Plan (SSHCP). The consultant will be responsible for tasks such as assessing project eligibility, reviewing permit application materials, evaluating avoidance and mitigation measures, and preparing technical memoranda and staff reports. The selected consultant will be expected to manage and control costs and resources, and complete work in adherence to the agreed upon project schedule. • The consultant will provide on-call technical support for SSHCP implementation, permit processing, and related biological and environmental review tasks. • The consultant will assist City staff with required agency coordination, including coordination with the South Sacramento Conservation Agency (SSCA), US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) on SSHCP permit-related issues. • The consultant will participate in regular meetings with City staff on SSHCP issues and project permit applications. • The consultant will support the City’s SSHCP annual reporting requirements to the SSCA.
