The Town of Uxbridge is seeking a qualified Owner's Project Manager (OPM) to provide project management services for the planning and design phase of a new library facility or the addition/renovation of the existing Uxbridge Free Public Library. The OPM will be responsible for overseeing the project, ensuring compliance with ADA accessibility standards, and providing a technology-rich environment. The project is expected to take approximately 5-6 months to complete, with a goal of achieving LEED Gold or Platinum certification. The OPM will work closely with the Library Director, the Library Building Committee, and other stakeholders to ensure the project meets the Town's needs and objectives. Key services include assisting in the selection of an architect, overseeing the architect's work, reviewing invoices, and attending regular meetings with the Committee and Board of Library Trustees. • The OPM must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in construction and supervision of building projects. • The OPM must have a thorough knowledge of the Massachusetts State Building Code, regulations of the Massachusetts Architectural Access Board, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. • The OPM must have experience with "green" construction, energy efficiency, and the LEED certification process. • The OPM must be able to work effectively with the Town, the Library Director, and other stakeholders to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
