Description:
Salem State University is seeking a qualified contractor to assume full‑service management of its campus food‑service program for a four‑year term. The contractor will operate multiple dining venues (24‑hour “anytime” dining, food court, coffee shops, concessions, catering, and potential pop‑up food trucks), ensure compliance with health, safety, ADA, PCI‑DSS, and sustainability standards, and provide all staffing, training, benefits, and operational oversight. The scope also includes developing farm‑to‑table initiatives, monthly financial and operational reporting, and maintaining insurance and indemnification requirements. • Manage and operate all university dining locations, including anytime‑dining, retail food‑court, coffee shops, concessions, and catering services. • Recruit, train, and supervise full staff (including student workers), provide benefits, conduct background checks, and meet COVID‑19 safety protocols. • Deliver sustainability goals (tray‑less, recycling, composting, local‑produce purchasing) and monthly/annual KPI reporting. • Provide a $250,000 bid guarantee and propose a cost‑plus management‑fee structure; contract term is August 1 2020 – July 31 2024 with two optional three‑year renewals.
