Description:
Newton County Schools is seeking information from vendors about available VOIP enterprise phone systems. The district is evaluating migration options to either a cloud-hosted or a hybrid solution. The system should support approximately 1,300 extensions across 27 sites and provide features such as seamless call routing, minimal disruption to end users, and clear migration path for Unity voicemail services. Vendors are asked to submit information regarding their VOIP solutions, including capabilities and services such as number porting, network and gateway integration, handset assessment and replacement, data migration and configuration, unified messaging, training and support, and turnkey site activation. • The system should support a phased transition strategy, allowing sites to be migrated individually while maintaining interoperability with the legacy CUCM environment during the transition period. • The system should provide seamless call routing and extension dialing between the legacy CUCM system and the new platform throughout the migration. • The system should provide minimal disruption to end users, with voicemail, call forwarding, and directory services continuing to function during the transition phase. • The system should provide a clear migration path for Unity voicemail services or an equivalent feature set within the new environment.

This estimate takes into account the costs of hardware, software, and professional services required for the implementation of a VOIP enterprise phone system. The actual budget could be higher or lower, depending on the specific requirements of the project and the proposals submitted by vendors.
