The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to upgrade the HVAC system in Building 51 at the St. Cloud VA Health Care System. The project involves replacing aging and end-of-life HVAC systems with current technology and in accordance with VA design standards. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment required to complete the project. The period of performance for this work is 275 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. Key aspects of the project include: • Replacement of HVAC systems in the basement of Building 51 • Installation of new air handlers, heat exchangers, convectors, variable air volume (VAV's), and controls • Work to be conducted in accordance with contract documents, Scope of Work (SOW), specifications, and drawings • Coordination with other construction projects may be required during construction phasing • The contractor must be a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concern, as this is a set-aside for SDVOSB construction firms.
