Description:
The SEO Library Consortium is seeking a vendor to provide an Integrated Library System (ILS) that meets the needs of its 103 member libraries. The ILS should be a modern, cloud-based system that supports the unique challenges and functions of SEO member libraries. The system should be able to integrate with third-party products and services, such as SOLUS, OverDrive, and EBSCO. The vendor should have experience with large library systems and consortia, and should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of successfully migrating large library automation sites. The vendor should also be able to provide comprehensive support and training services, including 24/7/365 support, system security expertise, and continuous support to maintain patron confidentiality and system integrity. Some key features and functionalities required by the SEO Library Consortium include: • A fully hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution • 24/7/365 comprehensive support for the Software, Operating System (OS), and Database Management System (DBMS) • System security expertise and continuous support to maintain patron confidentiality and system integrity • Ability and willingness to collaborate with SEO vendors and partners to resolve issues and optimize network configurations • Upgrade support, including scheduling and execution of upgrades during off-peak times • Migration services for new member libraries, scheduled during off-peak hours to minimize disruption • Access to system monitoring tools (e.g., for memory, CPU usage, and disk utilization) • System job control tools (to set job priority, terminate jobs, monitor jobs in progress, etc.) • Database tools and capabilities, including tools for monitoring and managing database space, and database repair tools • Documentation, including database schema documentation, system administration documentation, and documentation for reports • Online catalog functionality, including support for direct browse searching, full-text indexing and searching, and faceted navigation/filtering options • Integration with third-party products and services, such as SOLUS, OverDrive, and EBSCO
