Description:
The Workforce Solutions Capital Area Workforce Board is seeking a benefits broker to provide a full range of Employee Benefit Brokerage services. The selected vendor will work closely with the Board's Human Resources Team to implement, maintain, communicate, and improve the Board's group benefit programs. Services will include identifying plan/vendor consolidation opportunities, design changes, and providing guidance on mandates and trends. The broker will also assist with benefits administration, claims support, and employee communications. Key responsibilities of the benefits broker include: • Assistance with development, design, and planning of employee benefit programs • Negotiation of annual renewal of coverage from carriers • Annual review of various plans, including medical benefits, prescription drug, HSA administration, and more • Development of budget accrual rates and COBRA rates • Provision of insurance provider/TPA intermediary and management support • Assistance with administering group insurance plans and responding to staff questions • Provision of proactive advice and guidance on new laws, regulations, and procedures The Board is looking for a vendor-partner that is hands-on, proactive, responsive, and informed on mandates and trends. The selected broker will be required to have experience working with non-profit, governmental, and quasi-governmental organizations.
