The United States Navy is seeking a contractor to supply screw, cap, hexagon head fasteners in accordance with Naval Sea drawing 803-5184193. The contractor must provide one additional fastener for each uniquely identified heat/lot of material in each shipment, and complete traceability must be maintained on this extra fastener. The contractor must also provide quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis of the material, and certifications are required for the following tests: Liquid Penetrant Inspection or Magnetic Particle Inspection (Wet Method). The contractor must maintain adequate records of all inspections and tests, and the records must indicate the nature and number of observations made, the number and type of deficiencies found, the quantities approved and rejected, and the nature of corrective action taken as appropriate.
