The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC) is seeking a qualified firm to provide building commissioning services for the Science and Ag Hill Phase III project at the University of Georgia. The project involves the renovation of the PSC Building #1013, which includes the renovation of the south wing for instructional purposes and the north wing for research programs. The commissioning agent will be responsible for ensuring that all systems, including the building envelope, are complete and functioning properly. The agent will also provide documentation and training to facility staff. Key aspects of the project include: • The project is divided into two phases, with Phase 1 scheduled to begin construction in summer 2024 and be complete for classes in fall 2025. • The project has a preliminary stated cost limitation of $25,300,000. • The commissioning agent will be responsible for developing the Owner's Project Requirements document and reviewing the Design Professional's Basis of Design information. • The agent will also be responsible for conducting design phase and construction phase commissioning tasks, including reviewing contractor submittals, developing functional test procedures, and witnessing the Test and Balance (TAB) testing. • The project will incorporate sustainable design and construction concepts, and the commissioning agent will be required to use the Owner's free Project Management Program, E-Builder, for contract administration processes.
