The Department of Facilities, Fleet and Emergency Support Services of Douglas County Government is seeking responses from responsible and highly qualified companies for the provision of Architectural Design Services for the Zebulon Regional Sports Complex. The complex aims to become a cornerstone of youth and adult athletics in Douglas County and the Rocky Mountain region, promoting accessibility, excellence, and leadership through sports while offering a welcoming, safe, and state-of-the-art environment for training, tournaments, and community engagement. The successful design team will share the vision of creating a best-in-class facility for the Douglas County community. • The facility will include different athletic facilities to meet the recreational sports needs of the County’s residents. • The design-build team will work with the Owner and Owner’s Representative to outline design parameters and discuss ways to determine the best approach for successfully and efficiently completing this project. • The County seeks proposals that represent a demonstrated ability to bring cost-effective strategies to achieve an affordable, high-quality outcome. • The project will be in Northwest Douglas County and is intended to include various athletic facilities. • A portion of the proposed site was investigated as part of a larger environmental cleanup effort, but the site has no known contaminants and received a conditional closure letter from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. • Site development work is in progress, and the County anticipates providing a build-ready site with infrastructure, including grading, drainage, survey, and construction of primary access and arterial roads serving the sports complex.
