Description:
The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in Chatsworth, NJ has a requirement for a handheld, wireless, rugged, near-infrared spectrometer. The spectrometer should be capable of measuring quality parameters in blueberry and cranberry fruit and assessing plant health rapidly in the field and laboratory. The device should have a wavelength range of 950-1650 nm, a wavelength resolution of 6.2 nm, and an IP65 and IP67 dust and water ingress rating. The spectrometer should also have Bluetooth and USB connectivity to a Windows computer and include reference targets for calibration. • The device should be handheld, rugged, portable, and rechargeable with a battery life of at least 10 hours. • The device should have a measurement time of less than 0.5 seconds. • The device should be capable of capturing optimal wavelengths corresponding to fruit quality parameters. • The device should be suitable for use in outdoor, wet, and dusty field conditions. • The contractor should provide a quote that includes the total price, technical capabilities, and validity period.
