The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) is seeking an Architect for Design Services for the WCCW-Replace Roofs Bldgs: C, H, B, G, U & W project at the Washington Corrections Center for Women (WCCW) in Gig Harbor, WA. The project involves replacing 64,384 square feet of roofing on six buildings, including the education building, mental health building, and close custody housing unit. The selected firm will provide design services, including replacing roof insulation, failing rooftop equipment, and installing fall protection as needed. The project aims to provide protection from the elements, improve energy efficiency, and meet/exceed DOC security requirements. • The project has a preliminary Maximum Allowable Construction Cost (MACC) of $3,950,000.00. • The selected firm should have experience in innovative design of modern roofing systems and associated equipment. • The firm should be well-versed in the State of Washington capital budget process, planning, sustainable design, and LEED Silver or better certification. • The project involves a two-phase selection process, with Phase 1 evaluating the firm's qualifications and experience, and Phase 2 involving oral interviews. • The successful firm will be expected to enter into DES' standard Engineering and Architectural Services Agreement.
