The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking sources capable of providing janitorial services for USCG Sector San Diego, CA. The services required include janitorial and management activities to meet the requirements listed in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The period of performance will be for a base period of one year and four one-year option periods, for a total contract duration not to exceed five years. The contractor will be responsible for performing all necessary janitorial and management activities, including any applicable Technical Exhibit. The contractor shall determine the appropriate mix of personnel to be utilized to accomplish the tasks listed in the PWS. Key services include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, locker rooms, floors, surfaces, and glass, as well as waste collection, removal, and disposal. The contractor shall maintain all trash receptacles in a sanitary condition and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly. Some key points to note: * The contractor shall provide an adequate staff of personnel with the necessary expertise to assure the performance of work in accordance with sound and efficient management practices. * The contractor shall maintain all equipment and supplies in good working condition. * The contractor shall ensure that all personnel assigned to the contract are qualified and have the necessary training to perform their assigned tasks. * The contractor shall maintain records for all personnel hired under this contract. * The contractor shall comply with all applicable federal, state, local, and municipal laws, regulations, and requirements. * The contractor shall perform all work in accordance with commercially accepted best practices, industry or manufacturer standards/methods, and any applicable documents identified in Section 2.0 of the PWS. * The contractor shall provide a Key Control Plan to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) within fifteen calendar days after award. * The contractor shall ensure that all employees understand the work to be performed on orders to which they are assigned and that employees know their management chain and exhibit professional conduct to perform in the best interest of the Government. Some of the key deliverables and performance metrics include: * Clean, sanitize, and disinfect clinics, CDCs, as outlined in the PWS * Clean, sanitize, and properly stock lavatories and locker rooms * Collect, remove, and dispose of waste * Clean and maintain floors * Clean and maintain surfaces * Clean and maintain glass * Provide supplemental services for special events * Provide service calls for cleaning * Provide surge work as required.
