The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking a contractor to provide building door access control maintenance and repair services at the San Diego Transportation Management Center (TMC). The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, parts, travel, and incidentals necessary to perform door maintenance and repairs, including Lenel Card Reader door access upgrades, cabling for gate access, and connection services. The contractor must possess a valid and current C-10 (Electrical Contractor) license issued by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) and have experience with access control systems. Some key tasks and requirements include: • Replace existing door contacts • Activate card readers and install missing devices • Repair doors and install new door hardware as needed • Ensure all work is done in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines and specifications • Provide a copy of their Lenel Value-Added Reseller (VAR) letter • Possess a valid and current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, and the estimated total bid amount is not to exceed $461,000.00.
