The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) is seeking a contractor to provide solid waste removal and disposal services at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) Brooklyn, located in Brooklyn, NY. The contractor will be responsible for providing all equipment, labor, and expertise required for the removal of solid waste, compacted waste, wet waste, and recyclables from MDC Brooklyn, Dayton Manor, and Building 4. The contract will consist of a base year with four 12-month option years, and the contractor must be a Private Carting Awardee of the Brooklyn West or Citywide zone. The contractor will be evaluated based on price and past performance. Some key points to note: * The contractor must provide services in accordance with the terms of the contract, independent of Government supervision, except for security-related matters. * The contractor may be required to utilize two contractor employees during the removal of government-owned containers. * The contractor shall provide services within five calendar days after contract award, unless changed by formal contract modification. * The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to environmental protection and worker safety.
