The Royal Oak Schools is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to resurface the tennis courts at Royal Oak Middle School. The project includes material preparation, patching cracks, and installing a new surface. The contractor must provide a detailed list of exceptions to the RFP and/or contract, references, evidence of insurance coverage, and a completed familial disclosure affidavit. The contract will be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, and the contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Key features of the project include: • Material shall be Sport Court PoweGame+, Versacourt Game Outdoor, or similar, matching the performance of these products. • The dimensions are 120’ W x 124’ L, which includes 2 tennis courts. • The in-play color shall be blue, and the out-of-bounds color shall be green. • The tennis court lines shall be standard and the color is white. • Lines shall be provided for 4 pickleball courts running perpendicular to the tennis courts. • The contractor shall provide a drawing showing the layout of the tennis and pickleball courts. • The contractor shall include all surface preparation, including patching all cracks except the Rightway crack repairs. • The contractor shall include an allowance of 200 lineal feet for Rightway crack repairs. • The District will paint the asphalt surface after all surface preparation and crack repairs and before installation of the new surface. • The contractor shall remove existing net assemblies and provide 2 MHSAA standard net assemblies, including post, nets, and center hook with necessary concrete foundations. • The contractor shall include in the bid an allowance of $10,000 to be used at the discretion of the District.
