Description:
The City of Issaquah is seeking a contractor to design and install a grid-tied, net metered 38.5 kW DC, 33.3 kW AC roof-mounted solar PV system and a 250 kW - 860 kWh battery storage system at the Issaquah Senior Center. The scope of work includes final design, engineering, equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning of the system, with coordination for necessary permits and utility interconnection. The project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support the City's sustainability goals. • The system must be designed to provide backup power during outages and have a minimum of 48 hours of backup capacity. • The contractor will be responsible for obtaining necessary permits and approvals. • The project includes the installation of a private meter connection and an energy monitoring dashboard. • The contractor will provide training on the operation and maintenance of the system. • The project must be completed within 16 months, with substantial completion by February 28, 2027.
