The Maryland Child Abuse Medical Providers (Maryland CHAMP) Initiative is a program aimed at preventing child abuse and neglect in Maryland. The purpose of this Request for Application (RFA) is to seek a contractor to administer the CHAMP Initiative statewide, recruit and maintain experts in child abuse and neglect, and ensure that Child Advocacy Centers (CACs) have access to medical evaluation providers. The selected contractor will be responsible for implementing strategies to address racial disparities and providing expert medical evaluation to children who are victims of abuse or neglect. • The contractor will be required to have professional liability coverage, with a minimum insurance coverage commensurate with the scope and nature of the professional services performed under this award. • The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all CHAMP medical professionals have professional liability coverage. • The contractor will be required to develop and propose a budget that is reasonable, cost-effective, and aligned with the scope of work and objectives outlined in the RFA.
