The City of Atlanta is seeking a qualified contractor to provide Community-Based Forestry services across the city. The contractor will be responsible for planting and maintaining trees, as well as providing community education and outreach programs. The contractor will also be responsible for leading volunteer invasive plant control projects. The goal of the project is to increase the quantity, health, diversity, and longevity of the city's tree canopy. Some key aspects of the project include: • Planting 6,000 new trees over two years • Maintaining the new trees for two years after planting • Pruning 5,000 trees that are 3-10 years old • Providing community education and outreach programs, including guided tree walks, volunteer training courses, tree pruning classes, and speaker series • Leading 48 volunteer invasive plant control projects over two years
