The Monmouth County Park System is seeking bids for repairs to the Waln House at Historic Walnford located at 62 Walnford Road, Allentown, NJ 08501. The project includes selective demolition, brick masonry repairs, carpentry repairs, new window and storm window installation, slate roofing and flashing repairs, reinforced membrane roofing installation at built-in gutters, and painting. Bids are due on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Monmouth County Park System Headquarters, 805 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738. The estimated budget for the project is between $30,000 and $50,000. Bidders are required to comply with various statutory requirements, including affirmative action, Americans with Disabilities Act, prevailing wages, and others specified in the bid documents. Bidders may obtain copies of the bidding documents on a CD by contacting the Monmouth County Park System Purchasing Department at (732) 842-4000 ext. 4334 or 4217. A pre-bid inspection is not scheduled, but bidders are expected to examine existing conditions at the project site. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee of 10% of the base bid or $20,000, whichever is less, in the form of a certified check, treasurer's check, or bid bond. Bidders must also submit various forms, including a statement of ownership, non-collusion affidavit, consent of surety, certificate of registration with the New Jersey Department of Labor, and New Jersey State Business Registration. The Monmouth County Board of Recreation Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities, and award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder.
