The City of Fruita is seeking bids for the replacement of two Lochinvar Copper-Fin2 pool heaters with higher efficiency pool heaters at the Fruita Community Center. The project includes the evaluation of current heating needs, proper sizing of new high-efficiency pool heaters, and the removal and disposal of existing heaters. The replacement heaters must be Raypack, Lochinvar, and Laars or comparable brands. • The indoor pool is 243,304 gallons and requires a 1,800,000 btu/hr heater. • The outdoor pool is 136,375 gallons and requires a 1,260,000 btu/hr heater. • The installation of the new water heaters is expected to be completed during the maintenance week, which is currently set for September 7th through September 14th, 2025. • A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on July 15, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the Fruita Community Center. • Bids must be submitted electronically or by mail and must include a completed Bid Schedule, a signed Solicitation Response Form, and other required documents.
