Description:
The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to repair fire protection systems at 11 national parks in Alaska. The contractor will be responsible for making repairs to existing structural fire suppression, fire alarm systems, and their components. The contract will be awarded for a period of approximately 1 year and 6 months, from the date of contract award through May 31, 2026. The contractor must have experience in fire system repair, maintenance, installation, and related activities, and must hold a current Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Level II certification. The contractor will be required to work within each park's work hours, typically 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and must coordinate the repair schedule with the Lead Government Representative (LGR) and park representatives. • The contractor must furnish all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, lodging, and management necessary to make repairs to existing structural fire suppression, fire alarm systems, and their components. • The contractor must use only new parts or parts which have been refurbished to "like new" condition. • The contractor must consider all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, security, or any other interferences that may impede their work. • The contractor must remove, disable, relocate, or otherwise address all interferences as needed, ensuring all items are returned to full function as they were intended to at the conclusion of the contract. • The contractor must provide 48 hours advance notice to the LGR if any utilities (water, heat, AC, gas, etc.) will need to be shut down for any period during the life of the contract.
