The Schenectady City School District is seeking bids for moving and warehouse storage services. The successful bidder will be required to provide relocation services for school district furniture and equipment, as well as storage solutions for short-term storage and/or auctioning of furniture. The contract term will be from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, with four 12-month extension options. The bidder must have a minimum of two years of experience in supplying moving services and must comply with all federal, state, and local laws pertaining to the moving services industry. Key aspects of the job include: • Moving of office equipment, classroom furniture, and other items • Warehouse storage for a minimum of 5,000 square feet • Staging area for surplus auctions • Access for pre-scheduled bidder inspections and loading/unloading of equipment • Compliance with safety and health codes • Protection of district facilities and property • Provision of labor, supplies, and equipment necessary for the moves • Listing of items to be moved and notation of existing damage
