The Harris County Department of Education is seeking proposals for CASE for Kids Youth Services for Afterschool and Summer. The selected vendor will provide out-of-school time programs that integrate numeracy/literacy activities or other learning objectives. Services can serve youth in grades K-12 and/or their respective adult/family members. The contract will be for a period of five years, with the option for HCDE to extend the contract for an additional 90-day transitional period. The vendor will be required to provide qualified, trained staff and necessary materials to meet activity needs. • The vendor must be able to provide unique content-based services to out-of-school programs. • The vendor must be able to set hourly fees for services. • The vendor must be able to provide in-person or virtual services in one or more out-of-school time programs. • The vendor must be able to provide age and developmentally appropriate literacy/numeracy or other opportunities that lead to knowledge acquisition. • The vendor must be able to incorporate either literacy/numeracy or other elements into current vendor lesson plans using academic resources provided by CASE for Kids.
