The Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington, D.C. is seeking a contractor to provide pharmacy services and related services to its residents. The contractor will be responsible for providing pharmacy services, including dispensing medication, billing insurance companies, and providing monthly reports. The contractor will also be required to comply with all state and federal regulations and AFRH policies. The contract will be for a base period of 12 months, starting on April 1, 2025. The contractor will be expected to provide services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Some of the key services required include: • Providing pharmacy services, including dispensing medication and billing insurance companies • Providing monthly reports, including a detailed report of the insurance provider for every resident • Complying with all state and federal regulations and AFRH policies • Providing a local back-up pharmacy, a consultant pharmacist on-call, and/or emergency delivery of medications 24 hours a day • Providing in-service training for staff on drug regimens and medication pass reviews • Meeting with the Pharmacy & Therapeutic Committee on a quarterly basis • Providing a formulary targeted specifically to the geriatric resident • Supplying medication carts and software to handle functions such as order entry and management.
