Description:
The State of Nevada Purchasing Division is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide inter-state prisoner/inmate transport from and to locations as designated by using agencies on services statewide on an as needed basis. The contract term is expected to be four years, with an option to renew for two additional years. The State may award one or more contracts in conjunction with this RFQ. The evaluation and scoring will be based on technical criteria, presentation criteria, and cost factor. Key points to consider: • The State strongly prefers vendors agree to the terms of the attached standard form contract as is. • Ability to agree to contract terms is a high priority to the State. • Vendors who cannot agree to the contract as is must include a redlined Word version of the attached standard form contract with their response. • The State applies an inverse preference to vendors that have a principal place of business in a state other than Nevada and that state applies an in-state preference not afforded to Nevada-based vendors.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$2,000,000 – $10,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate as the document does not provide a clear indication of the payment amount. However, considering the scope of work and the fact that the contract term is expected to be four years, the budget could be substantial. A possible estimation could be based on the number of transports required and the cost per transport. Assuming an average cost per transport of $1,000 and an average of 100 transports per month, the annual budget could be around $1,200,000. Over the four-year contract term, the total budget could be around $4,800,000. However, this is a rough estimate and the actual budget could be higher or lower, depending on various factors such as the number of transports required, the cost per transport, and the level of competition.
