Description:
The Community Infrastructure for Research in Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CIRC) program supports the creation and enhancement of world-class research infrastructure in the core disciplines of the three participating CISE divisions. This program aims to drive discovery and learning by funding the development of accompanying user services and engagement needed to attract and nurture a robust research community. The CIRC program supports four classes of awards: Planning Community Infrastructure, Exploratory Development, Medium Community Infrastructure, and Grand Community Infrastructure. Key aspects of the program include: * Supporting the creation and enhancement of CISE community research infrastructure * Developing user services and engagement to attract and nurture a research community * Ensuring access to infrastructure for researchers from a diverse range of institutions * Supporting operation of the infrastructure to provide a high quality of service to CISE community researchers
