Description:
The California Department of Transportation is seeking bids for on-call drainage structure cleaning services and lab analysis in San Bernardino and Riverside counties. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, tools, materials, equipment, travel, and incidentals to remove, test, transport, store, and legally treat and/or dispose of waste materials generated by either Caltrans and/or Contractor during the drain facilities cleaning operations to Caltrans. The contractor must possess a Class A General Engineering Contractor's license and a Hazardous Substance Removal (HAZ) Certification issued by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB). The contract will require the contractor to comply with various regulations, including prevailing wage rates, labor laws, and environmental regulations. • The contractor must have a valid Motor Carrier Permit issued from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for its services as a Motor Carrier of Property under this Agreement. • The contractor must possess a valid and current Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP) Certification with the California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) for Laboratory Testing and Analysis Services. • The contractor must possess a valid and current Hazardous Waste Transporter Registration issued by the California Environmental Protection Agency/Department of Toxic Substances Control (CalEPA/DTSC). • The contractor must possess a valid and current Hazardous Materials Transportation license issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). • The contractor must possess a valid and current Hazardous Materials Certificate of Registration issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.
