Description:
The Marine Corps Air Station is seeking a contractor to remove and remediate bats from Building 1777. The contractor shall provide all labor, supplies, and equipment needed to complete this project. The scope of work includes sealing secondary entry points, installing one-way exclusion devices, monitoring the bats, and finally sealing the primary entry points. The contractor will also be responsible for removing hazardous waste, sanitizing and deodorizing the affected areas, and conducting site cleanup. The project must be completed prior to 1 May 2026. • The contractor shall seal all potential entry points, except for the primary exits identified during inspection. • One-way doors or exclusion netting will be installed over the primary entry/exit points. • The one-way doors will be left in place for a minimum of 5-10 days to ensure all bats have successfully exited the roost. • The contractor will remove all bat guano, urine-soaked insulation, and nesting debris. • The affected areas will be treated with professional-grade disinfectants and enzymatic cleaners to neutralize harmful pathogens and eliminate persistent odors.
