The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is seeking proposals from individuals and firms to provide mental health services to Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers in Colorado. The selected provider will be added to a pre-qualified list to assist CDPHE in providing peer assistance to EMS providers who may be dealing with physical, emotional, or psychological conditions that may be detrimental to their ability to work. The services will include education, evaluation, treatment, and referral for EMS providers and their family members. The contract is expected to start on October 1, 2025, and may be renewed for up to four additional one-year periods. • The provider must have at least five years of experience in providing mental health services, with at least one year of experience providing services to first responders, military personnel, or similar professions. • The provider must be licensed or permitted by the State of Colorado to provide mental health evaluations, counseling, and monitoring. • The provider must meet the requirements necessary to be registered as a State of Colorado vendor. • The provider must have the ability to receive referrals from CDPHE and make services available to all certified EMS providers. • The provider must utilize a formal intake process to identify the presenting physical, emotional, or psychological condition and screen for signs of crisis and other potentially harmful circumstances.
