Description:
The City of New Bedford is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to provide air quality monitoring support services. The total maximum budget for this project is $72,000. The selected firm will be responsible for creating information flyers related to the data collected by the MODULAIR sensors, identifying stakeholders, assisting in planning the project approach, generating insights based on air quality data, creating artifacts such as reports and presentations, and providing conclusions at the end of the project. The project aims to enhance community output, engagement, and stakeholder interest in the air quality monitoring program. Key requirements include directly related experience on at least three similar projects, written evidence of successful past performance, and submission of a technical proposal with no more than 15 pages of text. • The City of New Bedford received a United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Community Air Monitoring Grant in 2023 and deployed 20 air monitors throughout the City to collect air quality data for a period of at least 24 months. • The selected firm will work with the City's Department of Resilience and Environmental Stewardship and Groundwork Southcoast to operate the sensors and provide public and community outreach and education. • The firm will be required to comply with all Administrative Conditions and Programmatic Conditions specified in the Cooperative Agreement between US EPA and the City. • The total maximum budget for this project is $72,000. • The contract will be awarded within 60 days of the submission deadline, or a later date as determined at the sole discretion of the City.
