Description:
The Maryland Department of Health is seeking a vendor to provide non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services for the Maryland Medicaid program. The vendor will be responsible for delivering a full range of NEMT services, including screening requests, prior authorization, appeals, scheduling, verification, reporting, and monitoring, as well as providing an IT system to support these operational processes. The contract will be for a period of 7 years, with a 5-year base period and a 2-year option period. The vendor will be required to provide a range of services, including transportation services, IT system development and maintenance, and quality assurance and improvement. • Key services to be provided include: • NEMT services for eligible Medicaid participants • IT system development and maintenance • Quality assurance and improvement • Reporting and monitoring • Training and technical assistance The vendor will be expected to meet a range of requirements, including compliance with federal and state regulations, maintenance of accurate records, and adherence to service-level agreements. The vendor will also be required to provide regular reports and updates to the Department of Health.
